Komensky is about fourteen miles northwest of Hallettsville, at the intersection of FM 532 and FM 1295 — the farthest-out small community we regularly serve. It was established in 1895 by Czech, Moravian, and German settlers and named for the 17th-century Czech educator Jan Amos Komensky (Comenius). Unusually for the area, Komensky never had a church of its own — residents drew from Breslau, Moravia, and Witting — but by 1915 the community school was recognized as a model rural school in Texas. Today it’s predominantly cattle and hay land. Because it’s the farthest point on our Lavaca County map, we route Komensky calls efficiently and are honest about drive times. Each service below links to its own page *(good for internal linking + topical authority)*:
Water Heater Repair & Installation: Propane dominates out here — we service, replace, and install propane, gas, electric, and tankless units.
Drain Cleaning & Sewer Line Service: Cabling, hydro-jetting, and camera inspection for older homes and septic-connected drains.
Leak Detection & Pipe Repair: Slab, pinhole, and hidden buried-line leaks — the kind that hide under hay-field driveways.
Water Line Repair & Replacement: Long, long rural supply lines — the distances out here can be substantial. We locate and re-run with modern PEX where appropriate.
Gas Line Installation & Repair: Licensed propane and natural gas work for water heaters, ranges, barn heaters, and generators.
Fixture Installation: Toilets, faucets, disposals, and bath and kitchen remodel plumbing.
Well Pump & Pressure Tank Service: Jet and submersible pumps, pressure tanks, and whole-home filtration — especially important out here where city water isn’t an option.
Hay & Cattle Operation Plumbing: Hay-barn supply, stock tank hydrants, cattle waterers, and long cross-property runs.

Komensky’s ag-heavy, far-out profile shapes the plumbing work we do here:
Long-Distance Water Line Runs Some Komensky properties have 1,000+ feet of buried line between meter or wellhead and the house. When those fail, locating is half the work. We use acoustic and pressure-test tools to find the exact failure point before digging.
Cattle and Hay Operation Plumbing Stock tank hydrants, automatic cattle waterers, and water supply to hay barns are standard. Cross-property lines that cross a neighbor’s easement, frost-free hydrants for cold snaps, and PEX upgrades from old poly runs are regular scope.
Well System Wear — and No Plan B Because Komensky is off any central water system, a failed well pump isn’t a nuisance — it’s “no water at the house.” We stock common pump and pressure tank parts and can handle most well failures on the first visit.
Propane Pressure and Line Issues Long propane runs to water heaters and barn appliances can develop pressure or leak issues. We pressure-test, repair, and replace under license.
Freeze Damage The combination of distance, exposed plumbing, and rural conditions means freeze damage hits Komensky properties hard. We freeze-proof proactively for clients who want to avoid repeat problems.

Yes. Komensky is about 25 minutes from Hallettsville, and we serve this whole area. A lot of Victoria- and Houston-based plumbers won’t — which is exactly why we exist.
Often same-day. We stock common jet and submersible pumps, pressure tanks, and control boxes. If we have to order a specific model, we’ll stage temporary water where we can while the part arrives.
Yes. Water supply to hay barns, stock tank hydrants, automatic cattle waterers, and long cross-property supply runs are everyday work for us.
Yes. A full line replacement from wellhead or meter to the house — often 500–1,500+ feet — is a common scope for us, and modern PEX significantly outlasts the polybutylene it replaces.
Same as in town — starting around $89–$129. We don’t upcharge based on distance. Common repairs run $150–$400; larger jobs are flat-rate by scope.
